"Bougainvillea & Boardshorts" was taken on a quiet evening stroll through one of my favorite surf towns. The red VW van felt like it had been parked there forever. Sun-faded, carefree, and full of stories. I was drawn in by the way the bougainvillea framed the scene. With the golden light catching just enough color to make everything feel timeless. There's a kind of stillness in this moment that reminds me why I fell in love with Southern California. The slow pace, the character in the details, the everyday magic.
To me, this shot feels like summer — not the loud, crowded version, but the one with sand in your shoes, sea breeze on your face, and nothing on your calendar.
